I can tell you now

I can tell you now, footballers get paid a ridiculous amount of money for something so little. They kick a ball around the field once in a while then they can relax, then we see people who save life’s and help the needy; people who take family time out if there needed, always wanting to help, getting paid so much less. This disappoints me, the way they get paid for running around a field for 90 minutes, then we have a genuine person who’s working hard to do the best they can for the people in this world. I understand, the talent of a footballer is big, but the work ethic of some people knock spots of a footballer. The media just annoys me, they will rather put a footballer player who scored a goal or a footballer that got sent off rather then someone who made that extra move to keep a person on earth, the media, the people of today have got a completely wrong view on everything.

If we look at for an example a nurse and a famous footballer for instance, Lionel Messi. The lifestyle of a nurse is not even comparable, Lionel Messi can afford to miss so many games and stay at home and still live well, a nurse has to work 100x harder and go to work everyday just to get by. This makes me upset, if I could have it my way I would switch the pay around. Back in the day footballers used to play for enjoyment, money wasn’t a motivation, it was all about playing and helping your own team out, now the money has rapidly increased, the enjoyment has gone for most footballers now its only about the money.

Surely everyone can see what I see, this world has got it wrong, I don’t see how the government finds this acceptable, lets take another example, a solider. Our soldiers put their life on the line, fight for this country to protect everyone else, and they earn less money in a year then a footballer would in a year. Even when the world see soldiers dying in their own blood, sweating of fright, their everyday job is a ticking death bomb, than there is footballers, who only sweat because there running around to much, there life isn’t on the line, don’t have to work as hard and then most footballers till complain about their life. A soldier who fights in Afghanistan doesn’t have a choice, the conditions doesn’t make a difference, they need to sleep no matter what and serve there country, where as footballers matches get cancelled if its too rainy, I can tell you, not one footballer could switch jobs with a solider. Soldiers don’t complain about this obvious injustice: ‘It’s not about the money, it’s about helping the country,’ said Harris Tamaki, a former soldier, displaying the kind of modesty you don’t see from some footballers, this is what footballers minds should be like, these soldiers cant guarantee to come back home, to see there kids again, and its upsetting, footballers don’t realise how good there life is.

Bare vexed:

Dear Isabelle Kerr, slang has become a big part in our society for the young generation, it’s taken over the normal words that are used in the everyday life of a normal person, the article by me starts off by saying “im so gonna unlike that selfie of her twerking, srsly though these words make me wanna vom “this is expressing that these slang words are not expectable to use and if they are expectable shouldn’t be used in certain text. as the article carry’s on she explains how she is in the young generation as she is 20 years old, and she also notes that she’s sad that all this slang text is “sadly not a misprint “and she is “embarrassed and ashamed “in my experience the boys and girls between age 13-17 mainly use the slang text, if a 20 year old writes an article on how he/she feels about it, it’s going to be a different view and feelings towards it because its most likely she/he didn’t use slang and used normal text.

I disagree with what the article says on slang, in my opinion the language has changed before over the years, im a 15 year old boy and slang is now the present English just as normal English words was the present text back in the time, it may not be the present text for the older generation but for the young generation that’s being brought up around it, it’s going to become the text that they all use. Isabelle Kerr also says “it’s important to keep up with the language developments but these words give out the wrong impressions” the slang words don’t give out a different impression to the normal Standard English it’s just standard English cut down, it’s not a different word that’s throwing out different meanings, nearly everyone in the society understands the slang that being used because the older generation has used it in messages before in my past experience, also the younger generation has rubbed off using slang onto the older people because one of the main reasons why slang is used is to send fast messages and the older people want to be the same so they start to adapt to the

Slang text Is sort of like a new piece of clothing that has come into the stores, it would come into the stores, be the new trend and then it would slowly fade out and something new will come along, it’s the same with slang, slang will be replaced and it could either go back to standard English or a new text style could come, but the point is it’s not the end of the world to use slang once in the while, it’s still the modern day words that everyone likes to use but shortened. There was a point in the article were I did agree with what it was saying, it was when its explained how the slang words have been added to the dictionary, the dictionary had been made way before slang was used, so I disagree to mixing standard English with slang in the same dictionary because it’s sort of like mixing a rival group to each other it will not work and people will disagree that it was right.

Transformation

Transformation:

I sit there, from early hours in the morning till the later hours of night. Each second of the day my head runs through the rehearsal of a see and kill scene. As I sit on this tree I see the open world of a city. I hear the noises of animals lurking closer to me, as I look down I see the gritty ground, the reflection of the sky into the windows, My body is ready for this kill, my wings finesse into the air, my beak sticks out shining, my feet are hooked ready to fly off, and it’s a perfect plan.  The shining light looks down on me as my inspection begins, my feet are hooked onto the trees waiting as any time the moment could come, when I see my pray I will fly down sharply so my pray has no time to react, as I get to this pray, I will sharply take the pray off its feet in a swift movement, I will rip this animal flesh bit by bit, bone by bone until it’s all faded, this will be more luxurious meal of the day. When I fly in the air I get a sense of excitement, as the wind breezes past my face, my eyes widen up as I see the ground getting closer, my mind locked into a killing position, once I’m in this mind there’s no going back, everything seems right from that moment onwards, nothing stops me in my sight, it’s a clear path in my eyes, the suns still shining behind me, as it reflects on my pray.  Finally my journey has ended, I have got my pray, it’s in my arms as the fresh blood pours out, the flesh in between my teeth as I rip the animal bit by bit, the pray is nearly done, the bones of the animal.

Every day and night I come out, I come out to see the sun shining down on me, I don’t sleep, and my eyes are on 24/7 look-out. My feet are moving constantly through the ground, my nose sniffs out a sense of food, at the same time my eyes are focused to get food, I am the food for predators, my flesh is the food of one animal, this animal I see form the early start of the day till night, the eyes of this large, detailed predator looks down on me, watching my steps, its examining my moves, I’m scared as any moment this predator could fly down and that will be the end of the day, I’ve got to be careful. The day goes on I go more deep and close into the predators territory, I’ve got to do this, the food is crucial to me, the risk is high but the reward is better that last step was the wrong step, my eyes just locked onto what’s happening, I hear the noise of the predator flying down as the wind whistles as a swift movement is being performed, there was no time for me to react, the blood of my body pours out as my flesh is being ripped, I was a simple meal for the predator. That’s it, The wrong step made this choice, now my life has come to a halt.

I succeeded, my pray has been killed, as I’m biting into this flesh, i notice that the wait was worth it, i will finish my meal and return back to my nest and wait for the next pray to come along and fall into my trap.

Scene analysis

The director uses different techniques to influence the audience with emotion and shock. In hotel Rwanda he uses a wide range of techniques such as camera angles , sound effects , camera shots and suspense. Overall the producer is trying to create shock and emotion in hotel Rwanda to make a political statement of how terrifying the film was and what went on at that time.

In hotel Rwanda the director used techniques to create a message in the film. He rein- forces the message through emotion and shock, he uses these techniques in the film by making the viewers see things that the viewers aren’t expecting at the moment in the film which creates shock in the viewers eyes. The producer also uses techniques in scenes, for example, sound effects, camera angles, special effects and camera shots.

Camera angles reinforce the sense of shock and emotion, there is a scene where Paul’s car comes to a stop. Paul falls out the car and there’s a camera shot were it takes a quick glimpse of the floor but the viewers can’t really tell what’s on the ground. This strengthens the feeling of shock because your not expecting a feeling like that at that time in the film. The director uses expressions on the characters faces to create suspense in the film, like the scene that i’m talking about were Paul’s falls out of the car and there’s a camera angle of just Paul’s face which is a close up camera angle but the viewers can tell that its something horrific by Paul’s reactions and expressions which creates suspense, this is caused by several factors, non-diegetic sounds and it gives the scene an intense atmosphere where you hear a machete being drawn and gives the scene a little bit of a scare and the audience wants to know why they are using that sound effect and what’s gone on that Paul can see but we can’t.

There is a scene in hotel Rwanda were Paul Russesbagina is told to take a route on the river road, we see a far away camera shot of Paul’s car but the director has put in sound effects were as the viewers we know that something is going to happen by the music, when Paul’s car comes to a stop Paul falls out the car and there’s a camera shot were it takes a quick glimpse of the floor but the viewers can’t really tell what’s on the ground, then the camera goes onto the floor then it reveals what’s on the ground, so the producer uses sound effects and camera shots in certain scenes to create suspense.

in hotel Rwanda there is another scene were Paul has just asked the general to come and help his family and the people at the hotel before the people come to kill them, once they turn up Paul goes inside the hotel trying to look for his family and when he can’t find them the viewers immediately known that the next place that Paul is going to look is the roof because the producer gave a hint back in the film that this is we’re they are going to be Paul said that everyone should jump from the roof if they get invaded,So from that quote the producer is using hints to tell us small things that’s going to happen later in the film so that’s another technique that the director uses.

Story

Mr Anderson of the pub had closed the pub for night but was to tired to remember that he didn’t lock up the basement, but little did he know there was something leerking in the basement that for sure he didn’t want to let out. Mr Anderson was a nice person, this is the impression that every one gets when there around him.

It was the morning and mr Anderson got up and had some toast. After he finished something clicked in his mind that he hasn’t checked the monster as we know it in the basement, so he got up and went down stairs, got his keys and opened the basement door but strangely the monster had gone and the locks were broke off the wall.

Mr Anderson arrived home and just remembered that the monster he has been looking for had been working in the garden all along. Miss Anderson asked the man what are you doing here like this, the man replied, the man has kept me here for months making me work 24/7, miss Anderson was quickly gathering that this is some kind of slavery.

It was a new morning, miss anderson woke up and went downstairs to have some breakfast, it was the afternoon and miss Anderson was walking down the road and saw her son with another man walking into a house down the street, miss Anderson was beginning to think he was doing it all over again.

Essay

Baz luhrmanns interpretation of romeo and Juliet is that is set in Mexico where there is lot of street fights going on and in the film there is a scene we’re Sampson and abram are arguing  and they have a fight but that. i think Mexico is set I’m the film and not the play because as I said its renown for street fights. Another interpretation that baz luhrmann uses in the play is that verona is a costal city were romeo is always laying on the beach so u can tell it’s not set in Verona because its not a costal city so Mexico is a perfect setting because Mexico is a costal city. baz luhrmann uses dream in the play to represent drugs and is talking about fairy queen and it will make u go crazy and u couldn’t think right but in the play he uses drugs instead of talking about fairy queen and baz luhrmann uses extract in the play to represent that. There is a scene in Romeo and Juliet were the prince and the chief of police are both role models of society but the interpretation is that the prince inherits his power and the chief of police works for it but the difference is they both have soldiers but the police are for the chief of police and both are respected by the people in verona. This does display there strength and power in the film.

In the modern version of Romeo and Juliet baz luhrmann uses gun in the fights instead of swords, theme when the capulets fight the montagues they both draw there swords this is an interpretation off when they hold each other at gun point. One of the other interpretations is when the prince is post to come to the scene of the fight were there fighting but instead the capulets and montagues get taken to the police station.

The biggest interpertation baz luhrmann has used is the interpretation of the fim, because the film is not the play, it’s an interpretation of the play. Although we are readithe from a book it’s intended to be a proformance, which is why we talk about the use of dramatic irony, pathetic fallacy etc.

The Chorus of play is represented by the chorus talking but the interpretation is that in the film it’ not the chorus talking, it’s on a tv talking about how the both households are Alike in dignity,in fair Verona (were the scene is set) this is explaining the comment of action

In the modern time of the film the capulets and the montagues drive around in dodgers and all nice cars which is an interpretation because in the olden times they wouldn’t of been all nice cars and everyone driving them around so baz luhrmann uses that an interpretation to separate modern times to olden times.
